The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is a cruiser motorcycle from Royal Enfield. It is currently on sale. Cruisers are built for relaxed riding, typically with a low seat, a laid-back posture and an engine that pulls from low revs. With a 349 cc engine it sits in the 250–450 cc class.
Power comes from a 349 cc single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled fuel-injected engine that makes 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Peak torque arrives low in the rev range, at 4,000 rpm, which makes it relaxed to ride in traffic. Its stroke is longer than its bore (72 x 85.8 mm), a long-stroke layout that generally favours low-down pulling power. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 104 PS per tonne; by that measure, there is enough go for confident city riding and relaxed highway cruising. The claimed top speed is 105 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 5-speed manual gearbox with a 1-down, 4-up shift pattern, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel. It uses a wet multi-plate clutch.
It is built around a twin downtube spine frame. At the front, the suspension is telescopic, 41 mm forks, 130 mm travel. At the rear, it is twin tube emulsion shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload, 105.3 mm travel. Braking is by twin 300 mm discs at the front and a 270 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. ABS on both wheels keeps either tyre from locking under hard braking. It rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear spoke wheels.
The seat is 750 mm off the ground, which is low and makes it easy to put your feet down. It weighs 197 kg ready to ride, which is on the heavy side, so moving it by hand takes some effort. Ground clearance is 170 mm — enough for most speed breakers. It is 2,130 mm long, with 1,400 mm between the axles. Its 13 L fuel tank and claimed mileage of 36.2 kmpl work out to roughly 471 km per tankful on paper; real-world range is usually lower.
Equipment includes an analogue and digital instrument console, an LED headlamp, USB charging port, gear position indicator, daytime running lamps and service due indicator. Safety equipment includes side-stand warning, engine kill switch, hazard light switch, low fuel indicator and malfunction indicator.
The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years or 30,000 km. It comes with 4 free services, the first due at 500 km or 45 days. For the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹2,199 doorstep service.
It is best suited to relaxed riding and unhurried weekend trips. Its low seat also makes it approachable for shorter and newer riders.
Recommended tyre pressures are 22 psi front and 25 psi rear, solo or with a pillion. The published service intervals are 1st service at 500 km or 45 days, 2nd service at 5000 km or 180 days, 3rd service at 10000 km or 365 days and 4th service at 15000 km or 540 days. Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
