Brakes are the one system on a two-wheeler where you don't want to find out something's wrong the hard way. A brake inspection is a focused, no-guesswork check of everything that affects stopping power — pad thickness, disc or drum condition, brake fluid level and quality (for hydraulic disc brakes), and how much play there is in the lever or pedal before the brakes actually engage. It's quick, inexpensive, and often the difference between catching a worn pad early and a much more expensive disc replacement later.
Common Symptoms
- A squealing or grinding sound when braking
- The brake lever or pedal feels softer or needs to be pressed further than before
- Longer stopping distance than usual
- Visible wear on brake pads or a scored-looking disc
- It's been more than 3–4 months since brakes were last checked
Estimated Duration
20–30 minutes
Recommended Service Interval
Every 3,000 km or 3 months, and immediately if you notice any change in braking feel
Best For
