The Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic 114 is a motorcycle from Harley-Davidson. It is currently on sale. With a 1,868 cc engine it sits in the big-bike, 800 cc-plus class.
Power comes from a 1,868 cc twin-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 93.87 bhp at 5,020 rpm and 155 Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm. Peak torque arrives low in the rev range, at 3,250 rpm, which makes it relaxed to ride in traffic. Its stroke is longer than its bore (102 mm x 114.3 mm), a long-stroke layout that generally favours low-down pulling power. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 288 PS per tonne; by that measure, it is genuinely fast, well beyond everyday traffic speeds. The claimed top speed is 177 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 1-down, 5-up shift pattern, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel. Its slipper clutch lightens the lever and stops the rear wheel hopping when you downshift hard.
Its frame is mild steel, tubular frame. At the front, the suspension is Dual-bending valve 49 mm telescopic with aluminum fork triple clamps. At the rear, it is hidden, free piston, coil-over monoshock; 56mm stroke; hydraulic preload adjustment. Braking is by a 300 mm disc at the front and a 292 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. ABS on both wheels keeps either tyre from locking under hard braking. It rides on 16-inch spoke wheels with tubeless tyres — 130/90 - B16 at the front and 150/80 - B16 at the rear.
The seat is 680 mm off the ground, which is low and makes it easy to put your feet down. It weighs 330 kg ready to ride, which is heavy, so parking and tight U-turns need care. Ground clearance is 120 mm — low, so take speed breakers and steep ramps slowly. It is 2,415 mm long, with 1,630 mm between the axles. Its 18.9 L fuel tank and claimed mileage of 18 kmpl work out to roughly 340 km per tankful on paper; real-world range is usually lower.
Equipment includes an LED headlamp, USB charging port, distance-to-empty readout, gear position indicator, service due indicator, shift light, low fuel indicator and low oil indicator. Safety equipment includes engine kill switch, side-stand engine cut-off, side-stand warning, hazard light switch and malfunction indicator.
Warranty terms: Unlimited km or 2 years. For the Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic 114, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹13,999 doorstep service.
Its low seat also makes it approachable for shorter and newer riders. With this much performance, it is better as a step-up bike than a first bike.
Recommended tyre pressures are 36 psi front and 40 psi rear, solo or with a pillion. Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
