The Yezdi Roadster is a roadster motorcycle from Yezdi. It was launched in 2022 and is still on sale. Naked and roadster bikes pair a lively engine with an upright riding position and little or no fairing, which makes them easy to live with every day. With a 334 cc engine it sits in the 250–450 cc class.
Power comes from a 334 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine that makes 29.17 PS at 7,500 rpm and 29.63 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Its bore is wider than its stroke (81 mm x 65 mm), a short-stroke layout that generally favours higher revs. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 159 PS per tonne; by that measure, it is lively, with easy overtakes and relaxed highway speeds. The claimed top speed is 120 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 1-down, 5-up shift pattern, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel. Its slipper clutch lightens the lever and stops the rear wheel hopping when you downshift hard.
It is built around a double cradle frame. At the front, the suspension is telescopic forks, Ø 41 mm. At the rear, it is twin shock absorbers, gas filled emulsion with 5-Step adjustable preload. Braking is by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. ABS on both wheels keeps either tyre from locking under hard braking. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with tubeless tyres — 100/90-18 at the front and 130/80-17 at the rear.
The seat is 790 mm off the ground, which is about average and suits most riders. It weighs 184 kg ready to ride, which is on the heavy side, so moving it by hand takes some effort. Ground clearance is 171 mm — enough for most speed breakers. The wheelbase is 1,440 mm. Its 12.5 L fuel tank and claimed mileage of 30 kmpl work out to roughly 375 km per tankful on paper; real-world range is usually lower.
Equipment includes a digital instrument console, an LED headlamp, USB charging port, distance-to-empty readout, gear position indicator, daytime running lamps and service due indicator. Safety equipment includes side-stand warning, engine kill switch, low fuel indicator and malfunction indicator. It has a city and Power riding mode.
The manufacturer's warranty is 50,000 km or 4 years. It comes with 4 free services, the first due at 1000 km or 30 days. For the Yezdi Roadster, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹2,799 doorstep service.
It is best suited to riders who want performance with an upright, everyday-friendly posture.
The published service intervals are 1st service at 1000 km or 30 days, 2nd service at 6000 km or 180 days, 3rd service at 12000 km or 365 days and 4th service at 18000 km or 540 days. Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
