The Benelli TNT 600i is a sports naked motorcycle from Benelli. It was launched in 2015 and has since been discontinued. Mechiee still services it at your doorstep. Naked and roadster bikes pair a lively engine with an upright riding position and little or no fairing, which makes them easy to live with every day. With a 600 cc engine it sits in the middleweight 450–800 cc class.
Power comes from a 600 cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine that makes 85.07 PS at 11,500 rpm and 54.6 Nm of torque at 10,500 rpm. Peak torque comes high up, at 10,500 rpm, so it rewards revving. Its bore is wider than its stroke (65 mm x 45.2 mm), a short-stroke layout that generally favours higher revs. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 368 PS per tonne; by that measure, it is genuinely fast, well beyond everyday traffic speeds. The claimed top speed is 160 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel. It uses a wet multi-plate clutch.
It is built around a bassinet type frame. Suspension is by inverted forks, telescopic at the front and hydraulic mono-shock absorber at the rear. Braking is by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 260 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. ABS on both wheels keeps either tyre from locking under hard braking. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres — 120/70-17 at the front and 180/55-17 at the rear.
The seat is 800 mm off the ground, which is about average and suits most riders. It weighs 231 kg ready to ride, which is heavy, so parking and tight U-turns need care. Ground clearance is 150 mm — adequate, though tall speed breakers need care. It is 2,160 mm long, with 1,480 mm between the axles. It carries 15 L of fuel.
Equipment includes an analogue and digital instrument console and a halogen headlamp. Safety equipment includes low fuel indicator.
For the Benelli TNT 600i, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹4,499 doorstep service.
It is best suited to riders who want performance with an upright, everyday-friendly posture. With this much performance, it is better as a step-up bike than a first bike.
Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
