The Keeway SR125 is a motorcycle from Keeway. It is currently on sale. With a 125 cc engine it sits in the 125–150 cc class.
Power comes from a 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 9.56 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 8.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Its bore is wider than its stroke (57 mm x 48.8 mm), a short-stroke layout that generally favours higher revs. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 81 PS per tonne; by that measure, there is enough go for confident city riding and relaxed highway cruising. The claimed top speed is 100 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 5-speed manual gearbox with a 1-down, 4-up shift pattern, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel. It uses a wet multi-plate clutch.
It is built around a single downtube frame. Suspension is by telescopic forks, 128mm travel at the front and telescopic coil spring oil damped, 29mm travel at the rear. Braking is by a 300 mm disc at the front and a 210 mm disc at the rear, with a combined braking system (CBS). Using the rear brake lever also applies some front brake, which shortens stops for riders who lean on the rear brake. It rides on 17-inch spoke wheels with tubeless tyres — 110/70 - 17 at the front and 130/70 - 17 at the rear.
The seat is 780 mm off the ground, which is about average and suits most riders. It weighs 120 kg ready to ride, light enough to push around and park easily. Ground clearance is 160 mm — enough for most speed breakers. It is 1,890 mm long, with 1,285 mm between the axles. It carries 14.5 L of fuel.
Equipment includes LCD Display, a halogen headlamp, gear position indicator and low fuel indicator. Safety equipment includes engine kill switch, side-stand engine cut-off, side-stand warning, hazard light switch and malfunction indicator.
Warranty terms: Unlimited km or 2 years. For the Keeway SR125, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹3,999 doorstep service.
Its low seat also makes it approachable for shorter and newer riders. Its gentle performance makes it a forgiving choice for a first bike.
Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
