The Honda XL750 Transalp is a motorcycle from Honda. It is currently on sale. With a 755 cc engine it sits in the middleweight 450–800 cc class.
Power comes from a 755 cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 90.5 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. Its bore is wider than its stroke (87 mm x 63.5 mm), a short-stroke layout that generally favours higher revs. Divide power by kerb weight and it has about 441 PS per tonne; by that measure, it is genuinely fast, well beyond everyday traffic speeds. The claimed top speed is 180 km/h. It has electric start.
It has a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 1-down, 5-up shift pattern, and a chain carries drive to the rear wheel.
It is built around a steel Diamond-type frame. Suspension is by showa SFF-CA USD forks at the front and Pro-Link rear monoshock at the rear. Braking is by a 310 mm disc at the front and a 256 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. ABS on both wheels keeps either tyre from locking under hard braking. It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels — 90/90 - 21 at the front and 150/70 R18 at the rear.
The seat is 850 mm off the ground, which is on the tall side, so shorter riders may want to try it first. It weighs 208 kg ready to ride, which is on the heavy side, so moving it by hand takes some effort. Ground clearance is 210 mm — plenty for broken roads and tall speed breakers. It is 2,325 mm long, with 1,560 mm between the axles. It carries 16.9 L of fuel.
Equipment includes 5 " TFT Display, an LED projector headlamp, USB charging port, call and SMS alerts, gear position indicator, real-time mileage indicator, service due indicator, ride-by-wire throttle, shift light and engine temperature indicator, among others. Safety equipment includes engine kill switch, side-stand warning, hazard light switch, traction control and malfunction indicator. It has four riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain and Gravel and User.
For the Honda XL750 Transalp, Mechiee offers a fixed ₹2,999 doorstep service.
Its tall seat suits taller riders best. With this much performance, it is better as a step-up bike than a first bike.
Recommended tyre pressures are 33 psi front and 36 psi rear riding alone, and 33 psi front and 41 psi rear with a pillion. Its chain drive needs regular cleaning, lubrication and slack adjustment.
